Paige received her start at William
Holland with silver, advanced chain, and chase and reposse classes.
She has studied at the Spruill Center with Victoria Lansford and
at Callandwolde with Cat Goolsby. She also teaches at the Britt
David Cultural Arts Center. She recently received honorable mention,
for one of her mixed media bracelets, at the Arts and the River
show and sale.
Paiges filigree, like herself,
tends to be small and delicate with beautiful accents of tube and
bezel set stones.
CLASS DESCRIPTION
In this class you will learn the
basic techniques of Russian and Yemenite styles of filigree. Your
first three projects will teach how to make the filigree from 24g
fine silver wire, frame construction and various soldering techniques.
After the first three projects, students may design their own or
choose patterns bases on examples of finished work by the instructors.
Students may spend $200 - $250 depending on the price of silver
at the time. If you wish to bring your own 18g and 16g square sterling
wire, 24g fine silver wire, and your own tools, you may do so.
CLASS FEE - The
class fee is $70.00 and includes powder and sheet solder, flux,
polishing wheels and handouts.

Pre-requisite: Prior
knowledge of soldering and fabrication is a must.
SAFETY: All
students must have safety glasses or some form of eye protection.
An Optivisor is strongly recommended. Students with long hair must
be prepared to keep it pinned up or tied in the back.
All necessary tools will be furnished.
