Holds a bachelor of science degree in Industrial Arts Education,with
a major in metals and a minor in mathematics. He has taught metal
and jewelry classes in the Florida school system . Teaching presently
for the City of Tampa and Arts Center in St. Petersburg, Fl.
Received his diploma in jewelry studies from The Pinellas Education
Technical Center (P.E.T.C.) located in St. Petersburg Florida.

CLASS DESCRIPTION
The stone setting class will
be basic and somewhat beyond. We will begin with simple cabs the
progress to more complex settings. We will be using heavy copper
sheet for some, bezel wire and prenotched settings for others.
The types of settings being taught will be: Tube, Bezel, Prong,
and Beaded and flush mount. The students can bring their own stones
and mountings or purchase them at a nominal fee. Basket settings,
both round and ovel. Round and ovel stones in 4,5,6, mm.

Gravers, Stone set burs, drills,Otherwise they will be provided
by the instructor
LAB FEE: $75.00. $50.00 if the
students provide their own stones and settings.The fee includes
bezel wire, tube, basket settings, special tools , use of burs,
stones, solder, heavy copper sheet.

classes, Soldering experience
SAFETY: All students must have
safety glasses or some form of eye protection. An optivisor is recommended
but not required. Students with long hair must be prepared to keep
it pinned up or tied in the back.
